This is a Young Adults service that they held in an actual chapel off Temple square, near the Thames.
The worship was really nice and I got to meet a lot of new and wonderful people.
Instead of a speaker, they had a panel of three people who spoke on Jobs and Relationships. Seriously, two of the largest topics squeezed into about 10 questions.
At the end of it I voyaged back to Tulse Hill, at this point having not yet discovered the train system. So, two subway stops and a traffic jam later, I was stuck outside in the rain with no idea where I was. The bus had been detoured off route into the middle of nowhere and all the passengers got off to find alternate ways home.
Having little idea where 'home' was located, I successfully scaled a fence into the bus parking area (was unaware at the time that that's what it was) which I left shortly thereafter, and then found my way to a bus stop where I prayed a bus would show up. Another girl waited with me, similarly unsure as to how she had gotten there and how she would get out of it.
Eventually, I made it back. Yay!
Oh, and earlier that day I had eaten a cookie, from Ben's Cookies, recommended to me by a friend from school who studied abroad in London last semester.
I'll point out now that most of the places I visit and eat from are places either recommended to me by friends or by my London itouch app, Not For Tourists. Deciding what sounds good and/or interesting and tracking it down gives me new ways to learn about the city and discover places I fully admit I never would have found otherwise.
So, when you see me continually posting pictures of restaurants and food, it's not just because I'm so proud that I ate a cupcake. I'm proud that I read about the cupcake, decided to track down the cupcake, got lost looking for the cupcake, scouted down alleyways and skirted construction sites, and eventually found and devoured that (hopefully delicious) cupcake. Each picture has a story, trust me.
Yay for exploration!
